1st Half

The Eagles get us underway and kick into the Eels half, the ball changes hands between the two teams early on. The Eels finally get some control of the ball with a couple of clever plays, they work the ball up the field into striking distance and lovely move along the line see Tom Martindale go over for his first try in the blue & orange of the Eels, George Reekie slots over the conversion, Eels are up 6-0 here early.

The Eels come close again keeping the plays simple and should have doubled their lead.

It does take much longer for the Eels to double their lead, a scrum on the Eagles 20 see a quick pick up and go for Ollie Levis, who uses his pace and power to get over the line and dot the ball down under the posts, George Reekie is good from the boot again, Eels lead 12-0 after 13 minutes here at OB.
