Eels last game of their league campaign ended against the team they played in the first game.

Knowing that a win guaranteed the league and a place straight into the semi final play off, Brentwood started well. Completing their first set of six and making good ground Archie’s kick was touched by a Skolars player and from the resulting set Frankie crashed over on the fifth tackle.

Brentwood’s forwards were dominating proceedings with strong tackling and excellent yards gained in possession. Line speed was excellent putting pressure on the home team. A fantastic carry from Rhys put Josh over the try line. Skolars managed to keep the ball up but from the resulting possession Rhys went over. Archie converted.

Rhys was unlucky not to score soon after. Another good set and high kick from Archie saw Skolars defence deny Rhys in the corner. Good pressure from the defensive line forced a knock on and Joe Edwards scored in the corner.

Nathan soon after touched down in the corner after an excellent run.

The second half saw Eels still on top. A great run from Archie and great carry from Will ended with Frankie touching down again. Archie converted.

Findlay then touched down after superb work from Femi and Archie again. Archie converted.

Skolars showed great fight and had the final word with a try late on.

A great display by Brentwood in both attack and defence let them dominate the game.

An excellent game played in a fantastic spirit by both teams.
