Brentwood Eels traveled into the city on Saturday to face a strong and seasoned London Chargers side. Despite a determined and physical showing, it was the Chargers’ experience and execution under pressure that proved the difference on the day.
The Eels started with real intent, fronting up in defense and looking to play with tempo. But in key moments, the Chargers’ composure and clinical finishing turned pressure into points.
While the scoreboard didn’t go the Eels’ way, there were plenty of positives to take – including improved combinations, strong carries through the middle, and some valuable experience for our young prospects.
The squad made the most of the trip into London post-match, sharing a few drinks and plenty of laughs – including an unexpected run-in with some Minion lookalikes (to the mooooon!). A reminder that win or lose, it’s always about the team, the journey, and the memories made along the way.
