With the Eels yet to lose away but yet to beat our Essex rivals at home, the bragging rights were all to play for. We welcomed back experience in Callum Whitcombe but even though Tom Scarsbrook Ban was over a severe chest infection kept him out of the match day squad.

Eels started the stronger and were completing sets with good yardage but execution was keeping the scoreboard still for now. Typically we then had two tries from two sets with Euan going over with good shape on 5th tackle. Callum Whticombe also had a length of the field effort from a loose kick from Rhinos. Rhinos did end the half strong scoring two tries the first clearing up a dropped ball from a short kick, which then gave them to confidence to run on 5th for the second try just before the half time buzzer to bring the scores level at half time.

The Eels didn't start the second half with the same venom as they did the first but after a tough 10/15 minutes arm wrestle, Brentwood made lightwork of the Rhinos defence with great try's taken well from Eamon Tiernan on the left edge. As well as two carbon copy tries for Callum Whitcombe on the right edge to complete his hat trick and secure the win!
