After defeating the Skolars convincingly earlier in the season the Eels looked as though they saw this match as a formality. However the Skolars had some big new players and looked hungrier than us and really took the game to the Eels. It was a really even match with both sides using their forwards, although the Skolars looked the more aggressive. One particular incident turned the match when a Skolars player was red carded after a brawl involving a few players. Even though the Eels had the numerical advantage they failed to take advantage and got sucked into a forwards battle. This isn't the way we normally play and I'm sure the earlier incident affected our game plan.

Hopefully this is something the boys can learn from. A big thanks to the Skolars for being such gracious hosts and we wish them luck for the remainder of their season.
