With ten players missing and two players going down sick on the day of the match this was going to be a tough day. With no recognised centres or wingers, a forward carrying a knee injury, a scrum-half still recovering from flu and one new player in his first League match the result was never in doubt. I was extremely proud of the players efforts however as they kept their heads up and scored two good tries.
Invicta simply relied on their big men up the middle - particularly Miles who had a good game and his off-loads on the day played a huge part in the result. Plenty to work on but hopefully when we come through Easter we'll start to get our boys back and be able to put a side out with players in their right positions and subs to give the forwards a break.
A big thanks to all those who attended yesterday - Charlie and the other forwards worked extremely hard with no breaks, Rian and Luca looked impressive and a big thanks to Tyler, Alex, Evan and Dom who all played in unfamiliar positions.
