The U15's travelled down to Rutlish for their first ever encounter. With a depleted side due to players participating in various other activities it was always going to be tough day. The pitch was by far the smallest the boys had played on which didn't suit our style of play as it became a battle in the forwards. With no other forwards available our usual rotation system couldn't be used.
As has happened in previous games some silly mistakes cost us but the baffling decisions made by the match official didn't help either as the game was constantly interrupted by the sound of his whistle. This ultimately caused frustration amongst both sets of players with tempers often fraying and players (plus coaches) left scratching their heads at decisions.
Unfortunately this was not a classic but a match in which the final whistle was actually a relief.
