On an extremely hot day the U15's requested some players to bolster their squad to ensure players could be rotated. After a light training session the boys who had been selected to play U15's made their way across to the first team pitch at Old Brentwoods to join their team for the day. All the players had an opportunity to play and certainly didn't let anybody down.
In the forwards Madden, Mahoney-Fox, Piercey, and Davison took the ball at real pace and made good metres. Fox looked comfortable and adapted well with Horsman taking the ball to the line constantly looking for his supporting runners and waiting for the defenders to commit and jump out of the line. In defence they all made their tackles and showed good technique.
The lads assisted the U15's in what was a very good team performance. Brentwood really controlled the game well and repelled any threats the Spartans decided to throw at them in this local derby.
All The boys should feel really proud of their efforts , particularly the U14's - I know I am.
Well done!
