Earlier this year, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the club and the game of rugby league.George Riley and Adam Boylan were our first award recipients. Since then, we’ve reached an exciting milestone—being promoted directly from Bronze to Gold Level with the Jack Petchey Foundation. This fantastic achievement allowed us to recognise four more young leaders in June 2025.
Each of these award winners has shown commitment, leadership, and passion both on and off the pitch, helping to grow and inspire our Eels community.
Max Drew (Age 18)
A rising talent in our wheelchair rugby league team, Max has shown incredible progress, commitment to training, and a consistently positive attitude. His development since Christmas has been outstanding.
Dorota Piestrak (Age 23)
Dorota is a driving force in our ladies and girls sections—from leading by example as captain to actively recruiting new players. Her leadership and energy are making a lasting impact across the club.
Charlie Crane (Age 11)
Charlie has shown courage, joy, and commitment in his first season of rugby league. Living with Tourette’s hasn’t held him back—he’s taken every challenge head-on and become an inspiration to teammates and coaches alike.
Matt Tootill (Age 17)
Despite being one of the smallest players on the field, Matt plays with huge heart—earning Man of the Match in multiple SCL games and on his international debut for Ireland U18. He’s a standout performer with a bright future.
Congratulations to all our award winners and a big thank you to the Jack Petchey Foundation for supporting and recognising young leaders in grassroots sport. These individuals continue to inspire everyone at Brentwood Eels RLFC—and represent what makes our club so special.
