Jamie now 20 years of age is a product of the Primary/Youth section at Eels of which he joined at the age of 13. His age group were one of the most successful at the club. Which led to Jamie being signed by a French RL club "Diables Rouges Montpellier XIII" initially for their academy but broke though into the first team in 2014. After nearly two years he returned in late 2015 at the same time it was the Brentwood Eels open age second year of running. Since being back playing has grown into a big part of the team and club.

"We have had some great leaders, Initially in 2014 it was Alfie Hill who is now playing out in New Zealand and following that another Youth product Charlie Chambers for 2015/2016 seasons. Our culture is all about looking after our own and pushing young guys through in life and rugby league. Jamie knows the club has always been there for him over the years and it will send a great message to all the future young guys coming through "
