The Eels travelled over to West London for a game against a confident Richmond side, that had put the Surrey Sharks to the sword by 30 points the week before.
Brentwood got off to a great start with a huge kick off from Archie Holding, that Richmond couldn't stop & resulted in them having to drop out from under the sticks.
Kieran Mooney gathered the drop kick & loaded up captain Ollie Frostick who ran it back with interest, another big carry from Malachy Watts Adams took us to within 5 metres, Ben Kennedy hit the shape on the right & Findlay Gilmour made a short pass to Nathan Raffle who took the ball at pace & crashed over to open the Eels account.....Holding kicked the extras.

Richmond restarted, Charlie Brand gathered the kick off & loaded up Will Hammond who picked up good speed before crashing into the Richmond defence.
The Eels pack were flexing their muscles, good footwork & a strong fend saw Femi Sanya make good metres, putting the Eels within striking distance, Kennedy spun the ball out from the ground to Holding, who took on the line before passing the ball out the back to Scott Chitty, who drew the defence before releasing Rohann Bankole on the wing, who flew down the line sliding over to score in the corner.

Richmond looked shell shocked, but kept fighting until the end with some huge tackles, but the movement of the ball in the last third & the power of the Eels pack was just too much.....Kennedy hit the shape, Holding took on the line shaped up to pass, his defender bit & he ran straight through to score under the posts.....converting his own try.

The score didn't reflect the physicality of the game or the effort Richmond were making, but the Eels had a roll on & it was proving hard to stop, Hammond made great metres taking the Eels to within 5 metres, there was space out wide & Ben Kennedy spotted it, launching a 10 metre pass straight as a die along the tryline, Nathan Raffle ran onto it at pace & slid over for his hat trick.

The Eels kept up their energy right until the final whistle, as a great running move saw the ball get out to Scott Chitty in the centres who shaped up to pass to Rohann on the wing, then stepped through the line score.....Archie Holding kicked the extras.
