For the first time in the Eels 14 year history, two age groups have made it to the Grand Final & will compete to become London Rugby League Champions.

It's great to see both our 14s & 16s who train together midweek make the Grand Final, the Eels committee, coaches & parents are all very proud of the players dedication & commitment

First up was the Eels 14s playing a Home Semi Final against their arch rivals the Bromley Bengals.

Following a close first half, the Eels got into gear, increasing the tempo of the game & moving the ball at a pace the Bengals found hard to live with, Brentwood finished convincing winners.

Our 16s were on the road with an away Semi Final against the Hemel Stags. A some what chaotic start, saw half the team stuck on the M25 following a serious accident.

A huge thanks must go to the parents who struggled to get to the game, after two hours of being stranded.....without your commitment the boys wouldn't be in the Grand Final next week.

Similar to the 14s it was a very close first half, with the Eels scoring 3 tries from Femi Sanya & a brace from Will Bottone who was playing on the wing for the first time, due to the stranded players on the M25

The Stags went over twice but converted both of their tries to go in all square at halftime.

There's no doubt in this hot weather, the fitness work at training is paying dividends for our Junior Age Groups, the 16s came flying out the blocks 2nd half taking total control of the game.

A powerful display from the Eels forwards laid the platform, along with patient play, good shape & a smart kicking game, that forced Hemel into several back to back goal line drop outs, with Brentwood increasing the pressure until they cracked.

The Stags defence was starting to tire & were there for the taking, the Eels didn't disappoint with Femi Sanya, Will Hammond & Harry Crellin going over the stripe for another 3 tries.
